Annie’s appreciation for parks grew while raising her children in Manhattan, where neighborhood ball fields became central gathering places. As Executive Director of the NORD Foundation from 2011–2018, she raised funds to rebuild New Orleans playgrounds and witnessed firsthand the social connections parks create. Seeing the potential for a connected network of neighborhood parks, she joined the Board of Parks For All.
