parks Report Card

Parks For All advocates for a periodic city-wide parks report card process.

Not all parks in New Orleans are created — or maintained — equally. This snapshot highlights access, investment, and quality across neighborhoods to help residents, advocates, and decision-makers better understand where public green spaces are thriving — and where more support is needed.

The Parks Report Card helps turn data into action. By tracking conditions across neighborhoods over time, we aim to elevate inequities, inform policy decisions, and support sustained investment in parks that strengthen communities citywide.

Better data. better parks.

New Orleans currently lacks a consistent system for evaluating park conditions across the city.

Transparency
Residents and leaders can clearly see how parks are performing.

A Parks Report Card would provide:

Equity
Underserved neighborhoods can be identified and prioritized.

Planning Tools
Data helps guide long-term investment decisions.

Community Engagement
Residents gain a clearer voice in improving their neighborhood parks.
